Goodbye SMU @ The Coffee Connoisseur’s (TCC).

December 4, 2008

My last undergraduate examination paper ended last Thursday and my friends and I headed down to SMU‘s TCC to celebrate. I’m really going to miss school. It’s holidays and work from here on, looking forward!

Moses’ overly sweet latte. I found the layers really pretty though. He said that the taste had to match the drinker’s personality-which I weirdly agreed.

Our lovely exchange student Joy had a chocolate espresso.

Joy’s espresso compared to Yocksong’s Cappuccino.

And of course, I had my favourite pumpkin cheese cake-which was pretty disappointing as I remember it being more moist the last time. I prefer consistency in restaurant food.

I’ll never ever forget these boys, who sat with me through my first university class up till my last examination paper. Here’s their mischievous faces while taking some photos. From left, Yocksong and Moses.

Christmas Came Early For Us Starbucks Regulars.

December 1, 2008

Being a regular at Starbucks sure has its perks. Besides having great baristas to hang around with and great tasting coffee (I love the toffeenut Christmas special), we get invited to special parties, such as this Christmas party last Thursday. It was a double celebration for me since my last examination paper fell on the same day. 🙂

Barista Sam, the wonderful popiah maker for the evening.

In addition to popiah, we had some awesome fruit cake and a not-so-yummy  avocado salad (I simply left the avocado aside, it tastes like handcream to me, bleah).

And after all that eating, my bestie Lenise went behind the counters and made us various fruit-freezes.

We went dancing around the Christmas tree after that. What a way to end my education in SMU. 🙂

I love Christmas, coffee and being with my loved ones. Most important, I thank the greatest gift Giver of all, Jesus. I won’t be who I am today without Him.

Goodbye Frujch.

April 4, 2008

Today is frujch‘s last day of operation and it ain’t because of bad business. The students of this SMU student-run-cafe are graduating (my seniors) and I’m going to miss them and the food so much. 😦 Especially so for Nabilah and the ‘Rosemary Me?’ grilled sandwich.

The worse part is, I could not make it down for tonight’s farewell party because of a busy schedule. However, I will be at frujch next friday for an unofficial last visit – Pecha Kucha Night. Daryl will be presenting then, can’t wait. 🙂

Social Media Breakfast At SMU.

March 29, 2008

I had a good time at today’s Social Media Breakfast event, held at SMU‘s student-managed cafe frujch. This purpose of this event was for fellow bloggers to get together and mingle.

And at breakfast, there were of course food.

We enjoyed sandwiches, chocolate cake and carrot cake.

Thanks to the organisers Daryl, Derrick and Sheylara for making this happen.

Calin & Priscilla’s ‘Sweet Sixteen’ Birthday.

March 19, 2008

A group of us gathered in a tiny group study room in school today to celebrate Calin & Priscilla’s birthday. Instead of a birthday cake, we had birthday donuts from J.CO. I have to say that I really enjoyed their chocolate-coffee flavoured donut.

There were flowers, chips, donuts shaped in a ’16’ shape, lots of photo-taking, laughter and the feedings.

Then about 20 minutes later, it was back to school work. SMU students play hard and work smart. 😛

Any Recommendations For High Energy Foods For An Alert Mind?

March 9, 2008

I have been tired lately because of the large amount of school work. I’ve been eating too much fast food and drinking too much carbonated water. Coffee and tea doesn’t seem to help me stay awake anymore.

I have heard people saying that fish makes you smarter, is that true? And does anyone have any recommendations for high energy foods for an alert mind? My first step towards school life is to stay happy and be positive; which keeps all sicknesses away. Now I need to consume the right type of foods for an energy perk. 🙂
